School Uniform Manufacturer (OEM & Private Label)

School uniform manufacturers are asked to work one of two ways: make the buyer’s designs, or provide the designs for the buyer to brand. We run both programmes side by side, because schoolwear buyers often need one route first and the other later — a distributor whose own-label line grows into designed styles, or a brand whose seasonal buying settles into a repeat range.

OEM — your designs, made faithfully

If you already employ designers or buy patterns, a factory that wants to redesign your range is a cost, not a service. OEM keeps the roles straight: your side owns the product, ours owns the making of it. Everything is measured against your documents — counter samples checked point by point against your measurement chart, deviations reported back as questions rather than silently corrected. Where we add value is manufacturability: flagging a seam that will not hold in the specified cloth, a grade rule that breaks at the top of the size run, a crest too detailed for its intended size, before those problems reach bulk. Private label — our blocks, your brand

An own-label school line does not have to start from a blank page. The expensive part is getting children’s fit right across a dozen or more sizes, and our school blocks — polo, shirt, trouser, skirt, sweatshirt — have already done that work in real programmes. You choose the garments, set the colours and approve the fit; the development effort goes into your branding rather than into reinventing a trouser. Branding then runs through everything the customer sees: woven main label, size and care labels, hang tags, barcodes, polybags and carton marks, with lab-dipped colourways held on file for your label alone. Why schoolwear suits both routes

School uniform is a repeat purchase that changes slowly; the value sits in consistency rather than novelty. The parent who bought the right size from you in August comes back for the same sweatshirt in February — and whether that garment is your design produced under OEM or our block carrying your label, the re-order relationship is the valuable part, and it is yours. It also ends the quiet subsidy of reselling other brands: every year the line is re-ordered, the margin and the customer stay with you.

What we need before we can quote

For OEM: a tech pack per style, graded patterns or approval samples, your label and packaging specification, and expected volumes with delivery windows. For private label: the garment list, your colour palette and your label artwork. Either way, the fuller the brief, the fewer assumptions sit inside the price — and where a brief has gaps, we list them and agree the answers before sampling rather than guessing.
