The management suit is the one garment in a hotel that is judged by guests, staff and owners at the same time. It has to read as authority in a complaint conversation, as part of the brand in a lobby photograph, and as ordinary tailoring at 7am and 11pm of the same day.
Hierarchy through cloth and construction
The staff uniform sets the floor; the suit steps above it. The usual structure is a finer gabardine or suiting-weight twill in the property palette — or a deliberate shade darker — with construction the staff garments do not carry: a stated shoulder pad and sleeve head, full or half lining, and a trouser waistband built to be worn daily. The difference reads at ten metres without a word being said.
Women’s suiting drafted properly
The women’s suit is its own pattern job, drafted from the women’s block with its own balance, lapel line and shaping — not a men’s jacket taken in. Skirt and trouser options share the block so the set fits the same body, and fit samples are reviewed per gender before anything is sealed.
Built for the duty roster
A duty manager’s suit works harder than most business tailoring: it leans on desks, rides in golf buggies and gets hung on the back of an office door. Cloth choice weighs abrasion and crease recovery alongside appearance, and the sealed sample fixes the lining, buttons and trim so the replacement suit for a newly promoted manager drapes exactly like the original. Where the same person wears the suit daily, we suggest ordering trousers in pairs per jacket from the start — trousers wear out first, and a matched spare doubles the suit’s working life for a fraction of the set’s cost. Skirt and trouser both follow this in the women’s set.

Should management suits match the staff uniforms exactly?
Usually not exactly — a step deeper in shade or a finer cloth in the same colour family reads as hierarchy without making the GM look like the head of the desk team. Accessories can then tie management back to the staff palette.
Can you make women's suiting that is not just the men's suit shrunk?
Yes. The women's jacket and trouser or skirt are drafted from the women's block with their own balance and shaping, then trimmed to coordinate with the men's set. Fit samples are reviewed per gender before bulk.
We only need a handful of suits. Is that practical?
Management tailoring is a low-quantity item by nature and is normally run alongside the wider uniform programme, sharing cloth sourcing and sampling. We will tell you honestly where a very small run changes the economics and quote it openly.
Can duty managers wear a blazer over the staff uniform?
Yes — that is a common and cost-sensible structure. The blazer is cut to layer over the staff vest and shirt, in the same cloth family, so a duty manager can be made from the staff wardrobe plus one tailored piece.
