Why choose oxford over poplin for a custom shirt order?
Oxford wins where the shirt is worn alone and worked in — the weave's texture hides creasing and wear that show immediately on smooth poplin. Poplin wins under tailoring and in formal front-of-house. If your staff never wear a jacket, oxford is usually the honest choice.
Does oxford need ironing?
Polycotton oxford recovers well from washing and most wearers skip the iron; cotton-rich versions crease more but take a wrinkle-resistant finish that reduces the chore. We wash-test the sample so you see the real behaviour before committing to a cloth.
Can we run both button-down and classic collars in one order?
Yes — they share the body pattern, so the addition is a collar variant rather than a new development. Both versions are sealed as samples so either can be re-ordered independently as the range settles.
How do stripes and checks affect bulk production?
Patterned oxford adds a matching rule — stripes aligned at placket, pocket and yoke — which is agreed at sampling and checked in-line. It adds cutting time and a small fabric allowance, both reflected in the quotation rather than discovered later.
